Editorial principles and source checks

Answer the reader’s question, show the assumptions and link to the source. We distinguish a provider’s own statement from a regulator’s rule and from our own hypothetical arithmetic.

What a reference check means

The date records when a reference was reviewed or its accessibility checked. It does not mean every provider has been certified, every rule checked for all amendments, or every personal offer validated. Where live access is restricted, the limitation is stated.

No invented authority

There are no fabricated authors, professional credentials, reviews, approval rates, license badges or verified-lender rankings. Source review is not a substitute for professional financial or legal advice.

Commercial relationships

No live advertising, affiliate arrangement or paid placement is connected. If HiramGuide later lists a related lending product or receives compensation, that relationship must be disclosed clearly.

Corrections and updates

A source-check date changes only after the cited material is reviewed. It is not advanced automatically to make a page appear fresh. Material conflicts remain visible until supported by better evidence.

Product directory checks

The directory records provider-published limits, fee units, repayment types and source links. Conflicting or unpublished fields remain explicit. We do not convert unlike fee units into a cheapest-product ranking or invent total repayments. Logo files come from the providers’ sites, identify those providers only, and do not imply partnership or permission for public use.
